Further explorations in Watercolours and Mono and Lino printing inform and extend my Paintings. Recent works are vibrant acrylics of the Portland Coastline.

More Information About Anne-Marie
My original training was in Illustration, specialising on the Advanced Graphic Design course at Central St. Martins.
I worked as a freelance Illustrator for several years in London and Cyprus, where I also ran my own Gallery in Limassol for five years, before relocating to Dorset in 1997.
My semi-abstract paintings are concerned with an inner emotional response to the dramatic and powerful shifts in seasons, colours, and textures and elemental forces of the Dorset coastline and ancient terrain. I work in mixed media on paper, panel and canvas combining layers of plaster and various textures with acrylic/oil glazes and the addition of raw pigments. Further explorations in Watercolours and Mono and Lino printing inform and extend my Paintings.
I live close to Chesil beach and walk frequently making many sketches and colour annotations which are then developed in my studio, allowing my memory and feelings to dictate the final outcomes. Colour, texture and atmosphere are important elements of my work and the influence of the Mediterranean light continues to permeate my semi-abstract paintings
An experienced Lecturer in Art & Design in F.E. H.E. and in Private Schools and Colleges both in the U.K. and Cyprus since 1982;Anne-Marie offers Creative Drawing & Painting classes and workshops in a range of media and techniques for beginners, improvers and those with experience from her studio on Portland.
