The Exhibitors
Cathy Taylor
Having gained a BA Hons in Fine Art in 1990, I have combined painting with a variety of art-based jobs along with working in our family diving / fishing business. I have exhibited in various outlets and have gained many commissions. As well as my portrait work, I am now concentrating on nautical paintings above and below the surface, the sea itself, and the creatures that dwell in it. I have recently had my painting "Conger Party" shortlisted for the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year award in London.

About Artwey September Open Studios in Weymouth and Portland 2009
Every weekend in September 2009 Weymouth & Portland artists opened their studios for the public to visit.
It was a rare opportunity to meet visual artists such as painters, sculptors and potters in their natural environment! Visitors looked at their work and talked to the creators.
They bought or commissioned artworks and found out about future events such as exhibitions and workshops.
The Weymouth Museum at Brewers Quay hosted an exhibition of work by all the artists, open 7 days a week.
The event was supported by an A2 sized fold out Route Map, with details of the venues, together with this website. These First Edition Route Maps are now collectors items! They can still be used, together with this website to contact artists.
Artwey wishes to thank Alan Rogers, The Weymouth & Portland Arts Officer, for his help and the Weymouth & Portland Partnership and Creative Dorset for their encouragement and financial assistance.
The new website is a must see at Weymouth and Portland Partnership
More information and advise can be found at Creative Dorset
Artwey also wishes to thank the advertisers and partners who have supported and helped to make the Open Studios Event possible, please visit the link on the menu to see who they are.
