    About Julie Hacket

Julie studied at Newton Park College near Bath and qualified as an art teacher in 1970. After over 30 years of teaching in secondary schools in Wiltshire and Dorset, school management and teacher training, she finally retired from school life in 2007. She has welcomed the  opportunity and time that she now has for her own painting.

She enjoys natural forms and loves to explore the colur and texture of the plants and flowers that are the subjects of her paintings. Her current work is in mixed media and  water colour.
