    About Ingrid Ellis

    Ingrid's textile work divides into several categories:-

    -  Hand painted and machine embroidered pictures on silk paper (see "Nigella" in Gallery)

    -  Large quilted pictures of one blossom at a time or an abstract, usually in harmonious colours on white background (see "Amaryllis" in Gallery)

    -  Decorative, very colourful, fused organza pictures and handbags with beaded and sometimes embroidered embellishment (see "Wedding" in Gallery)

    -  Pictures using the “slashing technique" of several layers of fabric, cut through and embellished with beads and embroidery stitches (see "Purple and Green" in Gallery)

    -  Fabric Collages (see "Black and White Trees) in Gallery

    -  Traditional and Art quilts (see "Diamond Quilt") in Gallery

    -  Decorative, small soft furnishings items, embellished with beads and embroidery, such as cushions, book covers etc  (for examples, please check out my website).

    About the Exhibition

    Artwey are delighted to give you an opportunity to see some of the best work in the area by a number of artists who form part of a larger group of local Weymouth and Portland artists. From painting, photography, jewellery, batik to printmaking; this is an exciting exhibition where you can meet the artists and see them demonstrating their skills
