Throughout my life, I have always felt a deep connection to the materials and elements around me. This bond extends beyond simple appreciation; it’s a part of who I am. As I immerse myself in the tactile world of creation here at my studio in Fortuneswell, Portland, Dorset, I find that my experiences with different clays paint and pigments reflect a larger relationship with the natural world. As a teacher of Art and Design Technology for over forty years, I still enjoy teaching pottery skills and sharing my knowledge with a wider community audience during my retirement.
