Sarah Simpson Artist and Designer.
I graduated from Central School of Art and Design now Central Saint Martins.
I still often work using Gouache paint with mixed media a hark back to my design era for screen printed textile fabrics.
Colour and design are always a very important aspect in my work.
I taught Art and Textile Technology for many happy years in a local secondary school.
Since retiring a long time ago ! I have had more time to explore new avenues and have recently started painting En Plein Air which I enjoy.

My work encompasses:
Paintings in Gouache and Mixed Media
Photographic Prints from my original artwork using using Adobe Photoshop.

Recurring themes in my work are Fossils and Flowers. reflecting my love of the natural world.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

During Dorset Art Weeks 2026 I am exhibiting my artwork at The Old Town Hall Weymouth with 20 other artists.
