The wild weather didn’t deter our members and guests from attending the artist talk by renowned painter Nicola Rose in Weymouth last night, Tuesday 15th November. Nikki (as she prefers to be called) gave us a fabulous insight into her working practices, inspirations and the techniques she adopts to create her expressive en plein air paintings, her architectural work, and her photo transfers of birds. Nikki brought along a selection of her sketch books, her pochade (complete with boards abundantly spread with oil paints), and some finished canvases. We had a great turnout of both Artwey members and non-members. We hope to book Nikki for a painting workshop in the near future.
